Now one of mine....RIP Martha....

Martha was dumped in the trailer park I use to live in back in 2003. She was pregnant, so basically she was an unwed mother, abandoned by her family. She had 3 kittens. I made friends with 2 of her 3 kittens, but the other one was feral. Martha was always VERY friendly. I got her 2 sons inside; but her wild daughter took some coaxing. Martha was ready to come in though, but of course stayed with her daughter until Malico finally gave into the inevitable.

Martha was an excellent mama to her babies. Even when they were adults she acted as 'mom' to them. Unfortunately her children all passed before her. Martha was ALWAYS friendly and loving and loved nothing more than hearing me, or anyone, say "Martha Martha Martha Martha" as that meant 'come get pet and belly rubs'. She had had IBD the past year but it got progressively worse and as the doctor explained, it can become an intestinal lymphoma. Martha didn't deserve to suffer, so she's with her children again.

Good-bye Martha!
The suffering has ended! Say hi to your children from all of us here, even though I haven't met them or you ;) Sometimes Angels are needed in heaven earlier than we expect so we must say good bye... Our pains, like yours, will go away one day ;)

Awww I'm really sorry to hear about Martha. I've felt as if I've known her as I've heard stories about her over the years.

The picture of her is really beautiful. xxx
