RIP Mabuse

Rest in Peace Mabuse. I helped her take her very first breath in life and I ensured she took her last peacefully and painlessly. Mabuse was 'spawn of Skittles' when the neighbors still had Skittles (and obviously hadn't gotten her fixed) and Mabuse was the last kitten being born. She got stuck in the birth canal and the hood kids ran to my house to get me as Skittles was in distress and their mom didn't know nothing 'bout birthing no kittens (nor did I!) I run down, called my vet and a tech there walked me thru slowly safely pulling Mabuse out, then offer the sack to Skittles to break open, but Skittles was like 'I'm done with this birthing stuff!' So they walked me thru breaking open the sack and Mabuse wasn't breathing, so they told me how to rub her to get her breathing. I told the neighbors when she was 8 weeks old she was MINE. (Of course Skittles ended up being mine too when the neighbors moved)

The doctor believed she had a lymphoma that was progressing rapidly. There's really nothing you can do to 'fix' that, aside from saying FUCK CANCER! Mabuse was very close with her half brother Chocolate (from another Skittles' litter when the neighbors had her) and he passed away from a blood clot to his lungs last year. I have no doubt she's cuddling with Chocolate now. I ALWAYS, of course, am upset and mourn my furbabies; but this one really is hitting me hard. Obviously file photo of Mabuse and she is a doppelganger for her mom Skittles.

It's never easy to let go of a beautiful cat like that; I'm so sorry for you.

Rest in peace, Mabuse.
